Deep Roots Farmer Development Program: Farm Skills 101 enrollment

Ready to take the plunge? Pay your tuition below for the Deep Roots Farmer Development Program's Fall 2015 semester.

The price is $1,250.

Farm Skills 101 consists of 51 hours of on-farm education in three weekends of fun and fulfilling learning. These are days in the field, not field days. Participants will need pants, closed-toe shoes, gloves and safety glasses.

SFP is a program with small class sizes and individualized attention. Every student engages in the activities. This is real-world, real-time education.

The Fall 2015 class sessions are Oct. 2-3, 9-10 and 16-17. Friday classes run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pack your own sack lunches and breakfasts; Friday evening local-foods suppers are included in tuition.

Tuition also includes housing at the lovely modern lodge of Viking Valley Hunt Club

Note: To pay by check, mail tuition to Sue Wika, 11643 State Hwy 78, Ashby, MN 56309.
