During his visit to Colombia, President Obama completely ignored one of the world's worst humanitarian disasters, raging just outside the walls of colonial Cartagena.

Despite an incredible PR effort to show Colombia as a country that has left behind it's sordid past of war, human rights violations and drugs, hundreds of thousands of people displaced by Colombia's brutal war are living in squalor in the shadows of the hotel where President Obama stayed. Colombia's war is raging and our military aid is part of the problem.

We need to set the record straight.

Please send a letter to the editor of your local newspapers to make sure that news coverage of Obama trip to Colombia doesn't sweep Colombia's war and humanitarian disaster under the rug.

We've made it easy for you to contact your local newspaper with your views, but editors want to hear from you in your own words. If you have an extra minute, please feel free to personalize the sample text below.
