Dear friends,

Today was a beautiful day! We were happy to stand side by side with immigrant community members and leaders, health advocates, - and of course many of YOU - as State Senator Ricardo Lara (D-Huntington Park/Long Beach), chair of the Latino Legislative Caucus, unveiled SB 1005, the Health For All Act. SB 1005 would expand health coverage for all Californians, regardless of immigration status.

The fact is, discriminatory health policies are hurting communities throughout California. Many families are unjustly left behind due to the federal government's exclusion of immigrants from the opportunity to receive - and purchase-  affordable care. The Health for All Act will heal that injustice and create a health care system that truly works for everyone.

Now that immigrant communities have won the TRUST Act, drivers licenses, and many protections for workers, the next step forward for California is to expand equitable and affordable access to health care.

Please stay tuned for updates and action alerts as #Health4all moves forward. Together, we can help all Californians thrive.
